Last week of April

Hey momma, yes i am feeling much better now! I havent gained any weight back yet but i have a really cool 6 pack now! :) So mom.... I have a question.... I am trying become as man as possiable while i am out here so i have been doing what ever i can to be more man! So my question is.... There is this shop that sells pelts and i really want one i saw this bear rug thing for like 30 euro and i came to the conclusion that every real man carries a dead animal with them! so i am thinking about buying it! Plus this is a German bear... we dont have those in the states! 

    This week was good, we met with both of our investagators and one is doing good and the other is not... One he has been reading the book of mormon and has lots of questions so that makes it easy on us we just answer all of his questions! The other guy is an odd duck.... He is one of those guys that thinks that he has the gift of toungs and speaks in weird language that doesnt exsist!? He also claims to have seen an angel.... But, he loves the book of mormon he says there is soooo much truth! But he is also a preacher for some other church so he knows the bible very well. Thats okay because my companion has like the whole thing memorized! SO that really helps.

      Thank you soo much for the package i havent gotten it yet but i am looking forward to it soooo much! I really need the slacks! But i do have some good news. I went to H and M todany and they sell really nice slacks for like 10 euro so i picked some up! Im glad obomas plan didnt go through wow thats a scare! I am emailing a little earlier hoping to catch you at the same time so email me back! haha

April 22

Hey momma,

 Well i want to start off telling you i am feeling much better. I dont know what it was but i just one day started feeling better! My companion was sick too so i think there was just a little bug going around! I am gonna try to answer all of your questions and if i miss one let me know what one i need to answer! 

  I am working on sending pictures but it might have to wait till i get transfered because, The computer here doesnt work for the camera hook ups and stuff so i have no way to send the pictures right now! 

      Well about the gangsters and stuff ahah. Well we ran into these guys on the street and he said hey CIA our town. We told them lets play basketball to decide if we leave ! So we went! Well, lets just say the Germans are not very good at basketball hahah. They think they are these L.A gangsters and have these dred locks down to their belly button haha! 

      Well we got another investagator this week he is a preacher for another church, so we will see how that goes haha! He asked a lot of really odd questions and they were really complex german so it was hard for me to understand! He asked like where was joesph smith burried and stuff. First off i dont know the answer to that question and second it is an odd question and third all of that vocab i did not understand haha! 

     Well I am doing good and I was made Young Mens leader for our Branch.. My first calling. Germany is getting warmer. Everything is starting to turn green and I can tell it is going to be beautiful here. I am excited for spring we can now go out in just our suits. Its nice to get rid of the extra layers. So I need some new pants because all of my clothes are to big. So if you could send some smaller pants for everyday that would be great.

I want some more pictures of all of you guys. Tell Alyssa I want a picture of her and Wes. oh and a picture of their new puppy. I also want a picture of pup. I miss her.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! I hope you had a great birth day! I am sooo excited for you. Did you get anything cool now? SO how old are you now like 32? Was everyone super nice for your bday because if not i will write them a mean letter haha! 

       Great news, We have two new investagators. I would tell you their names but i dont really know how to spell them haha. One is an old mad and the other is an old lady. The old man is my fav because he was different than most people. When we first sat down with him he got straight to the point. He asked us a question "is god just?" We were like, YES we showed him a couple of scriptures out of the book of morman that really comforted him. He is now very intrested in the book of morman and he wants to know more. He also runs marathons in boston so he knows some english. such as, yes, no and thank you hahah. He is super nice and was asking me all about the olympics because i guess he loves it and he knows i am from utah and he said the utah winter olympics was his fav. He talks to me about it like i am suppose to remember what happened when i was 9? He is a super nice and super strange but thats why i like him haha. The lady, she is hard. She has read bits an peices of the book of morman and she believes in it but she thinks the bible is more correct and that you dont need to be babtized you just need faith. We tell her faith is important but it says in the bible too that you must be babtized... She blows us off every time we say that. We are going to help her in her garden this week and we will see how that goes. 

       So Momma, I am gonna be honest..... I am getting really sick........ I have never felt soo misirible in my life. . I am now down to 175 and i am eating sooo much i dont know what is wrong with me? I have major head aches and major muscle cramps. I dont know what to do?  So if you know anything that will help me out that would be awesome! 

        I am sorry i am getting on at such a weird time. I have some meetings today and i have to email sooner to get to them. This usually doesnt happen so dont worry about it!

HEy momma, every thing is going great. Still no new investagators but we had an inactive member at general confernce and we have got a couple of new leads. We have run into a lot of people that we made appointments with for this week so we will see how that goes. I am just excited that i am now doing something! I was getting sick of just walking around town all day with no one to talk to. I am sooo happy that you guys went to the cabin with the Lindholms that sounds like fun. Tell ethan i am now very mad at him.... I slacked off around his age and i will forever regret it. Slacking off at that age put me sooo far back in high school. Tell him to pick it up, he has no excuse to get bad grades. I am not a dumb person but i got bad grades because i slacked off so tell him to pick it up. 

April 4

Hey momma, Well the week was a little better, but still no investagtors. I am getting better at getting peoples attention, because thats all i can do! I am learing a lot and the vocab is the hardest part. I know grammer but i just have a very small vocab. I dont really have much to say about this week becaue i did the same thing i did last week and thats walk around. So i am sorry if this letter is lame. I did get invited to a lot of the members houses though. By the way, the whole thing about Germans all speak english... Not true! I am having a hard time connecting with the members because i cant express myself in german yet. Bet they think i am funny and they pitty my German, so that is kinda funny. Wow i am sooo glad the wedding went well. I am glad Dave seems like a really good guy. By the way how is Nick doing he is my next concerne. I am kinda a worry wort when it comes to family and katie. I just want to know how every one is doing? Oh .....MOM.... If you ever come to germany i am making you try dönner.... I know i talked about it already but it is just sooooo amazing! I hope you can chat with me!

March 20

hey momma! I just want to start by saying i love you! The area is great, it is sooo beautiful but there arent very many members here. They are all really old to. We got invited to one of the members houses i think yesterday! The food.... well i dont really know what to say about the food yet! The city is beautiful though. I havent taken any pictures yet, my comp says we cant look like tourists. Im working on that one by the way. Oh one more thing. The thing about every person in germany speaks english is not true. I have talked to sooo many people and I can honestly say i have only met like 2 that speak english. I also feel like the guy from the best two years besause, This is not the language thy taught me. I am struggling talking to people its not too easy but, you know me ill figure it out. We dont have any investagators yet besause me and my comp white washed the area, which means two elders left and we are coming in. The two elders that were last here didnt have any investagators soo we are looking for some too. We have been trying to find some through the members but the members say they dont know any one we can help. We are gonna find them though. I did have an odd experience though. We ran into this guy who has a book of morman and has read it and knows its true but he doesnt want to be baptized because he wants to stay evangalish which i think is prodistant? He was an odd guy? Every one in Germany in soooo nice though i havent met anyone that is mean. We were called idol servants but he said it in a nice way. So Honeslty i like every one here! Mom.... The weather is soooooo cold. There is sooo much moisture in the air so when it gets cold it gets really cold! 30 feels like -10. The air plane ride wasnt too bad. I just slept the whole time. Our mission pres is sooo awesome though! He is sooo funny!!! i really like him! My companion is from washington Dc he is quiet but he is nice! I love hearing how everyone is doing! Im glad stephen is  doing school and fixing up his car . Ahhh i wish i could be there to help dad train the boyz that would be soo much fun! I got on as late a i could so you could write me back i love you get on so we can chat!

March 18

Hey momma. I am just in the laundry room board and there are computers here so i wanted to email you! I have a story for you though... SO yesterday.... We were coming out of a devotional and there is this stair case and a hand rail going down the middle of the stair case. I though it would look really cool if i ran on my feet up the hand rail. Well my foot slipped and i did the splitz over the hand rail and hit my self where it counts....The worst part is like 50 people saw it happen because it was right after the devotional. It was a life changing moments says elder peirce because we all need to get hit there every now and then?? Im sure it looked really funny but i didnt think it was funny. When i look back on it, it sounds funny! I am probably gonna email you again later today. I am soo excited to talk to you tomorrow!! I love you all sooo much keep the letters coming. I want to hear how everyone is doing? i think you had more questions for me but i forgot what they were so email them to me and ill get back to you later today! I love you!

Hey momma its soo nice to hear from you again! sorry i havent been writing as much letters lately. I have been super busy with German and stuff! The german is coming! I am getting alot better these last two weeks my german has really improved! I can talk a good amount but the hard part is understand the people when they say the stuff. I am getting better but understanding is the thing i am working on the most. Most of our teachers speak in a heavy german accent so maybe i will be prepared to understand the german people. I also just found out that my first day in germay i have to street preach..... In german.... Im just a little nervous.

 

Wow josh just got his call to Germay??? I heard the german mission is suppose to be one of the next biggest missions. Im sooo happy to hear everyone is still doing great! Im glad you actually get a break not doing 1st grade anymore! I loved the story you sent me! So eveything is going good i am doing a lot better now but, our district leader thinks its okay to make up rules??? He is driving our whole district crazy! I am just sooooooooooo excited to get to Germany!!!! I cant wait to seee it!!! I hear all of the roofs in germany are red??? so they said when your flying and you see the red roofs you know you are in germany! i hope you can get on i would ove to hear from all of you!!!

Hey momma! AH i was so excited to hear from you. I am sorry i havent been writing as much lately. We dont really have as much time during the night to write anymore!

Wow It sounds like everyone is doing awesome. Im happy Stephen bought a car! Does he know how to fix up a car? I am worried about him. Is he still going to school? He has been a big worry of mine lately. Did he make the job for Alaska? I put his name in the prayer roll. Keep me up dated about him.

Wait??? Ethan is goin to a witch doctor? What does that mean? Are you sure he is not just being a wimp again? I want to hear what sports he is gonna do next! I am super bummed i dont get to hear about his games anymore. He is such an amazing football player. I know he is gonna be better than i was! so keep me updated on how he is doing!

Haha im glad ellie is doing good!! She seems like she has a lot going on! Is she still a beast? does she even realize i am gone haha? well I love her a lot.

All i have to say about dads krafts is wow......Im glad he is actually doing something with his krafts( if my spelling sucks its because i am on a German keyboard..) Tell him i love him a lot. I feel bad that i took so much of his words of wisdom lightly when i was home. I look back and feel really bad. I love him a lot. 

Momma.... HAHA i have a story for you....so last night me and a couple of guys in my zone made a catapult (i dont think i spelled that right) buy we made it with a chair and an excersise band. We launched fruit across the halls and it exploded on us. It was fun till they called secruity on us... that is the second time they have been called on me and elder peirce and elder cocrene. Me and elder cocrene are good friends. He played basketball at west lake high. He is so funny! but i havent been in to much trouble so dont worry. I am just making the most fun i can haha. So i am doing a lot better now. I still dont like the mtc but i like the people in my district like elder cocerne and elder peirce. Another funny story... I just found out my companion has a twin.... Yeah that was weird when i found that out... Hahah they are both here at the same time and both going to germany. Momma i am doing a lot better so dont worry about me. I love you all sooooo much!

Hey there momma. Thanks so much for the encouraging email. All of your letters and emails really do help me out so much!!! Haha so funny story. It is is hard to find a washer or a dryer here. you are lucky if you can even wash your clothes. So me and Elder Peirce had an amazing idea.... We came to wash our clothes at one in the morning. That way we can actually get some stuff done during our p day. I love hearing about everything at home. I'm so sorry your foot still is hurting! Has dad given you a blessing? What is wrong with Ethan's foot? Is it the same thing as before? Wow i am so happy for Stephen. I really hope he makes the job for Alaska, I think it would be really good for him. How is dad? I didn't find his letter in the last package? Speaking of your packages.... Everyone here thinks you are an angel because you send us toys! I never thought I would get so excited for toys. Im so happy for Brandon bean. I am so excited he did good on his farewell he is gonna be a good missionary. Oh and how is my dog is she doing good?
Momma, you don't need to worry about me. Yeah i am discouraged with the mct but, I'm not a quiter. You know that. The days here go by slow and the weeks go by fast. Its crazy to think i was home 3 weeks ago. I feel like you just dropped me off here yesterday. There is another Elder here that is super chill too. His name is Elder Cockerne is used to be shy but now he is opening up and he is so funny. As we speak me and him have had 4 races down the isles in the laundry room in these roller laundry baskets! Its moments like this that make it more fun! 
              The German is touch and go right now. One day i am feeling it and most days i really suck. But i and gonna learn it because i don't quit! I love you all and i love hearing form all of you. Don't stop sending letters i really love them sooo much!!!!

Hey momma i love your e mail i love hearing about eveything at home. Haha it doesnt sound like much has changed. Im worried about stephen though is he taking school seriously? I don't feel like he know how important it is. Tell Ethan video games will melt his brain and i loved his letter he sent me it made me laugh. i love your packages it really helps out so much. Tell dad i might need some protein if he can send some and an exercise band would be awesome. Me and my companion had a wrestling match last night. i won of course. He is starting to lighten up a little bit but, he still has his moments. i do need some more shirts if you can send some. button up shirts long sleve. I didnt bring near enough. I cant say its much more exciting here. The spirit is really strong and i love all of my teachers and i am learing a lot but, i do the same thing everyday i spend more time learing german than anything else. We haven't even touched on any doctrine yet. I love you sll so much and please dont stop the letters, they really help me push through the day

Feb 12 First Email

Hey mom how is everything going at home how is my dog haha. Everything is going good i guess its getting hard and i am getting a little gome sick. your guys package was awesome everyone in my district loves you right now. German is coming i cant write anything yet but i can speak it kinda good. I am just gonna tell about the mtc. The beds are really bad, the food sucks, the showers are not the best. My district is really good everyone is super nice and i love them all. I had to teach my first investogator last friday and yesterday. cool Experince. When i was teaching him he said some stuff in german and we could not understand what he was saying and me and my comp didnt know what to say back but, i felt the spirit and i started to speak the only german i know and the guy knew exactly what i was saying it was really cool well i cant write much more i love you all and your letters were awesome.
